When you are in a business, naturally you take a look at what the rank and file of non-licensed electrologists  to see what they are up to. There are plenty of honest websites out there that feature professional licensed and registered electrologists developing their practices with expertise and personal integrity. Then there are the websites that would make any reader want to pull her or his wanted hair. Some sites leave even the trusting wary of the services offered, the qualifications of the providers and, in the worst circumstances, uneasy at something that is difficult to put one’s finger on. Of all the spurious sites, that ascribed to Andrea James and scribed by James Walker The VII, CPE has pushed the the pedal to the floor with his unabashed encouragement and promotion of uneducated non-licensed electrologists, one has the feeling Mr. Walker has gone around the bend and sooner or later he will hit a tree.

 

On a recent visit to Hairtell.com, I truly had to do a double take and I  thought had stumbled on to a joke website, after all, for people who don’t deal with unwanted hair problems, the whole topic of hair removal seems to be good fodder for jokes and with his conjured endorsements like “Hairtell Pro Top Ten Contributor”, consumers are having flashbacks to the Tonight Show and the Daily Ten. Through a dubious claim to excellence, the first place in this countdown to classless incompetence is well deserved. James W. Walker VII, CPE (Certified Professional Electrologist) ranks as the number one “HairTell Pro Top Ten Contributor” . However Mr Walker has a brand new title and has proclaimed and anointed himself, "The Electrolysis World Champion." on every single post. To view his first Youtube masterpiece" Straight Talk About Permanent Hair Removal The Executive Clearance Way" one can only conclude Mr. Walker either doesn’t take himself seriously and the viewers doe not know whether to laugh or cry nonetheless I cannot stop laughing while feeling pity for Mr. Walker. As adults we have choices to better serve our ourselves and to demand more from the supposed representatives of the hair removal profession. So together, let’s look more closely at  self-proclaimed super friend James Walker VII C.P.E. AKA the “Electrolysis World Champion”.

Chapter One: James W. Walker VII, CPE Moderator, Top Ten Contributor & Self Anointed Electrolysis World Champion,

 

James W. Walker VII, CPE a Non-Licensed Certified Professional Electrologist on Hairtell.com were he is the moderator casually lists his occupation as a “Board Certified Professional Electrologist.” Nonetheless James Walker VII, CPE “Board Certified Professional Electrologist” forgets to mention a few minor details such as where he is actually certified and where he attended a formal and nationally accredited electrolysis school? Additionally James Walker the VII, CPE, “Board Certified Professional Electrologist” claims the American Electrology Association endowed him as a “Board Certified Professional Electrologist” after completing a mere 120-hour Certified Professional Electrologist course, which he claimed to deliberately  have flunked the test first time to make a political statement. Understandably our Electrolysis Profession is riddled with incompetents like Mr. Walker who operates in New York state which has no mandatory licensing and registration of electrologists which makes makes enforcing the law upon him most difficult. James Walker claims competence in a professional occupation that demands medical knowledge and proficiency and for an electrologist to be competent one must be educated, trained, tested and licensed and registered. Furthermore in being so politically bold, James Walker VII, CPE is unaware that only a state board of  licensed and registered electrologists and an accredited electrolysis school can certify one as electrologist before you take your requisite dual state board examination of written and practical.

 

For the general publics information, the 120-hour Certified Professional Electrologists examination is a fourth grade level multiple-choice  examination that does not require a high school diploma, GED, no criminal check and I almost forget to mention there is no examination for the “Practical Application” of electrolysis. Furthermore there are no requirements for applicants to provide a required health certificate attesting that they have no STD'S or communicable diseases considering James Walker proclaims to be the Official Electrologist To PEP An Intimate Social Club in Buffalo New York. And this is a person that you want to perform a delicate precision hair removal treatment?  Nonetheless what scares me the most is that there are no personal or criminal background checks. I have more to say on that topic. First, how did this Hairtell Top Ten Contributor make his start and what makes him think he is the "Electrolysis World Champion", it must be his delusions of grandeur?

To all American licensed and registered electrologists never forget that Electrolysis is an American Invention and when you buy cheap foreign manufactured  electrolysis equipment you lower the quality of your electrolysis treatments. Furthermore you send more American Jobs to foreign countries that make cheap copies  of high quality American electrolysis equipment. Furthermore I warn all  consumers, licensed and registered electrologists not to post comments on the hairtell.com forum which has become an out of control lynch mob were James Walker VII CPE with his right hand troll will twist your words  into lies and hang American licensed and registered electrologists for expressing the slightest offense such as promoting mandatory education and licensing of all electrologists which Mr. Walker vehemently opposes. However the Hairtell Mob has other motives and that is to sell foreign made electrolysis equipment  and supplies which are cheap knockoffs of quality American companies like the Hinkle Company and the R.A. Fischer Company which merged. In 1985 it was the R.A. Fischer Company  that innovated and manufactured the worlds first computerized programmable epilator first used by me at Boston Electrolysis® in 1985.

Meanwhile our mob leader Mr. Walker from Canada with his anti-American agenda were he and his non-licensed electrologists assassinates the character of  American licensed electrologists and American manufactured computerized electrolysis epilators built by the Arthur Hinkle Company and the R.A. Fischer Company. On the other hand Mr. Walker does not mention their cheap imitations are made in China and sent to Canada for resale under another name. American manufacturers like the Hinkle Company and the R.A. Fischer Company of California merged and I know all their equipment and parts are manufactured and built  by Americans which means American  quality and jobs! In addition as a practicing Massachusetts Licensed and Registered Electrologist since 1979 and I am Utah Licensed and Registered Electrologists with 31 years of professional experience using the latest R.A. On the the other hand if you carefully follow Mr. Walker and his Hairtell Mob's comments you can see there how they cleverly and repeatedly post the same sublime anti-American remarks that undermine "Made In The USA". With their lies on the Hairtell Forum they undermine American values, American ethics and American ingenuity by constantly praising foreign manufactured epilators made in China, shipped to Canada and repackaged under another name and than sold in America.

Presently I am conducting an ongoing investigation as to unknown Canadian company that hired Mr. Walker  long ago and his and Hairtell.com Mob job is to undermine American Electrolysis Equipment Manufacturers and American licensed and registered electrologists. Presently their using the Internet to broadcast this old form of "Payola" that led to FTC investigations and violations of Fair Trade Laws and FCC violations to broadcast them from. However I feel sorry for  honest hard working Canadians that have made American their home only to discover the people they were trying to get away from.. However the moderator Mr. Walker has turned Hairtell.com into one of the most unethical base of operations for character assassination with a collection of people claiming to be electrologists that possess some of the worst attributes I have ever witnessed. On Hairtell,com's rank and file non-licensed electrologists in the following states Arizona, California, New York, Ohio and other states certain unethical Certified Professional Electrologist use Hairtell.com as their base of operation to conduct dirty business tactics. You ask what kind of dirty business tactics they use? On their Hairtell one of their favorite tactic is to pretend their a client with an unwanted hair problem trying to locate a good electrologist they can trust and from that point on overtly sympathetic Hairtell Practitioners say of poor dear I dislike hearing things like that and than all of them subtly bash the electrologist she is going to. This is done for money and what better to bash your competition than hiding a behind a computer with an assumed name and one the worst offender is an electrologist from Midwest who should be investigated for unethical conduct let alone breaking every rule and regulation in the book regarding ethics.

JAMES WALKER THE VII CPE THE RINGLEADER OF THE HAIRTELL MOB BOARD OF ASSASSINATION

Mr. Walker VII CPE the moderator of Hairtell.com has created a vile cult of liars, cheats and thieves who will do anything for a thin dime. Usually when you become a moderator of a forum your assuming a post of  honor, honesty and integrity and  it was not meant to be used as your  personal pillar  of impunity to cast fictitious lies and aspersions while subverting the law and your competitors. Mr. Walker has turned Hairtell.com forum into a Board of Assassination were electrologists are publicly bashed just to get their clients. How is done? Why all you have to do is logon on Hairtell.com and click the button for your state "Hairtell Practitioner Locater"  or Haitell Forum Issues however you will end in their "Boiler Room" on page with Hairtell Top Ten Contributors and the ones to watch out for because they pay the most for electrolysis referrals. Their mode of operation is group effort of overwhelming attention that  religious cults use to recruit new members. They  fawn over the consumer with sympathy while questioning him or her while confusing the consumer with questions they ask "Well its sound like your unhappy with your electrologist? " After that they confuse him or her to the point that he or she believes she had a bad treatments and this where Mr. Walker VII CPE moderator and his Top Ten Contributors move in and make a referral to one of their Top Ten Contributors or or a member in another state and afterwards Mr. Walker and his boss Andrea James take their cut and pay down the line while the unethical electrologist  or laser operators pays them for a kickback. To make  it look real they put in a ringer who is a an unknown Hairtell Top Ten Contributor posing as a consumer with an unwanted hair problem and he or she will  endorse and say, "I went to her and she's great electrologist" however Mr. Walker as the forum moderator has many identities he uses to clinch deal. himself and other Hairtell  Top Ten Contributors.

These are such despicable illegal acts that violate Federal and State Laws and I have seen so many unethical electrologists on Hairtell.com were they manipulate consumer into a funnel of waiting members of Hairtell because Mr. Walker runs this "Scam" with his most ardent Hairtell Top Ten Contributors run  and what he and his members are doing violates consumer laws, The Fair Business Act  and all state board rules, regulations and ethics. The fact that these unethical Hairtell Top Ten Contributors have a group mode of operation where they commit they legal acts across state lines is a federal offense. I know some of the electrologists and their code names and they are from the following states; New York, California, Ohio, Illinois and Arizona and more. In the end my goal is to send reports about about Mr. James Walker  and his gang members to  the New York AG Office, FTC, FCC  and every State Board Of Electrologists, State Board of Cosmetology and the representative of Consumers Affairs Office in every state in the USA.

JAMES WALKER & THE INTERNATIONAL GUILD OF ELECTROLOGISTS 

Mr. James is a collector of Bogus Electrolysis Diplomas and his connection to the now defunct (out of business) International Guild of Professional Electrologists.  This Guild was a typical "Diploma Mill" and James claims he was within 11 votes short from winning the Presidency of The International Guild of Professional Electrologists whose membership at the time of the election totaled 23 members. Effectually, association with the IGPE makes the non-licensed electrologist look and sound credible. Advantageously, membership to The International Guild of Professional Electrologists a defunct out of business based in Canada required no examination, no state regulated electrolysis education and no required state license and registration as an electrologist to become a member. The The International Guild of Professional Electrologists recognized the good faith and valid bank checks of its aspiring members. As a testament to one's admission into this noble quasi-organization, members were awarded the most ornate and beautifully embossed diplomas I have ever seen. With a font like that who could question a practitioner's qualifications?

FAKE ELECTROLYSIS TITLES

I will always be baffled by the amount of energy that individuals and groups put into skirting the state regulations of their desired professions. Admittedly they have creativity and skills in their favor given their ability to generate long names and to maintain fake websites which mislead the uneducated and unsuspecting consumer; but why expend so much energy to avoid legitimate education, training and certification? Having never been admitted into the Guild in its glorious heyday, I may never know its deep dark secrets. If, however, I continue to question the practices of Mr. Walker and his mob, I may reveal its character and warn the public. Though not the skin of their noses, it is their skin to worry about. My on line publications The Five Star Electrologist© and The Boston Electrolysis Journal© will soon publish a phony list of quack electrologists and the aliases they use on Hairtell.com so the Trans-Consumer can check out every Trans-Basher on Hairtell.com organized by their leader James Walker VII, CPE.

MR WALKER IS NOT A TRANS FRIENDLY ELECTROLOGIST,

 

Professionally speaking Mr. Walker claims to be TS Friendly however, isn't consistent with his less than friendly verbal abuse and outright bashing of  Trans licensed and registered electrologists who face discrimination and his worst offense is "Outing Them" on Hairtell.com. On Hairtell.com Mr. Walker  and his assistant troll from Ohio calls Trans-Women, "Humanoids, crazy and other insults. In addition James Walker VII CPE learned to "Out Transsexuals from his boss Andrea James the owner of Hairtell.com.". He is certainly inconsistent and self-serving in his claims and thusly he proves that vociferous claims about one's sexual identity usually have relevance only to the one making them. Rarely do they have importance in one’s professional profile. Aren't we trying to move away from such biases? I at least had hoped so.  Furthermore he brags about his foreign made equipment along with disrespectful off the cuff remarks about Americans yet one wonders why he resides in Buffalo, New York versus living in Canada? However I wonder why Mr. James and all the fake  TS Friendly electrologists on Hairtell.com explain why they Bash Trans Licensed and Registered Electrologists?  Is it because they will do any thing for money? Yes thats absolutely correct and Mr. Walker has real problem because there are 10 Trans Licensed & Registered Electrologists in America and not one of them needs or would belong to the "Hairtell Quackery" were Mr. Walker and his fellow chickens roost.

MY EXPERIENCES AT HARVARD MEDICAL SCHOOL, KIMBERLY WILLIAMS, R.E., DEAN

On the other hand  one of the most significant honors of my life was when I  was invited to be a Guest Lecturer lecturer at Harvard Medical School from 1983 to 1987 on the subjects of Human Sexuality, Transsexualism, Gender Dysphoria, Endocrinology and Electrolysis and you can you can read My Experiences at Harvard Medical School by Medical Kimberly Williams, R.E., Dean. In my four years lecturing at Harvard Medical School I had the wonderful opportunity to address America's most eminent and influential leaders, physicians and professors of medicine. In my professional opinion Mr Walkers is not a friend of the Trans-Community in any form or manner, he's just another greedy person who wants our money and he does not care how many people of the Trans-Community he has to hurt to get it. However James Walker VII CPE and  his Ohio Troll on Hairtell Forum have made multiple violations of the Matthew Shepherd Hate Crimes Act!

Then again, Mr. James displays his Anti-American personality and said he was an official member of the Canadian owned International Guild  of Professional Electrologists back in the day, so we have to allow him his old fashioned ways of thinking. I can assume he does not want people to think that he could be a cruel man or worse. In his perceptions, perhaps being anything less than “100% Man Baby” may make him susceptible to the poor business choices that female electrologists make; Mr. Walker can definitively state that the majority of electrologists a.k.a. women spend more money on their decorating than any other item in their professional practice. Mr. Walker elaborates stating that in his opinion women budget more for their waiting room installing water effects and marble floors offset by excessive decoration while they spend a total of $1200.00 dollars for their machine and a couple pair of forceps. He does not bother to say where he got this information and or this figure of $1200.00. In his humble mind he is just exposing the truth of these matters…and successfully blinding us from the valid fact of his complete lack of accredited electrolysis education. How convenient to have a weaker sex to use as a foil for ones foibles. This is starting to have that historical ring again. Given his own lack of dedication to education, it is easy to pave over with marble the real accomplishments of the many women who have made the legitimate field of electrolysis what it is and should be. It is a verifiable statistic that electrolysis is a traditional woman's professional occupation with 99 +3/4 percent of electrologists being women. Of those women, those who are professionally educated have worked hard to attain their professional licenses and registrations and I myself struggled with two jobs and going without to get through electrolysis school.

Massachusetts State Licensed & Registered Electrologists Requirements

Thirty two states are regulated for the practice of electrolysis, electrology and the blend. In Massachusetts with the toughest requirements in the USA to become an electrologist, one only becomes a licensed and registered electrologist after successfully completing a combined curriculum of 1100 hours of Theoretical Sciences in Endocrinology, Histology, Bacteriology, Biology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Anatomy, Physiology, Dermatology, Electricity, Sterilization, Ethics and Hygiene & Sanitation. In addition, practical training consists of 600 post theoretical work hours and then one still has to successfully pass the Massachusetts Dual State Board 2-hour written examination and one practical examination. Many women accomplish this while working another job and raising families. That seems like a stronger statement than failing one's Board exam on principle.

 

In every profession dedicated women, and men, earn the right to place the qualifiers “licensed and registered electrologist” after our names.  It seems a feeble self-defense for Mr. James Walker the VII  CPE to scoff at educated licensed and registered electrologists and denounce their interior decorating choices. Whereas I am intellectually aghast at the presumption of his assertions and conclusions, I become truly nervous when time and again he voices being clueless as to why an individual should take the time to become an educated licensed and registered electrologist. Mr. James Walker the VII CPE  does not seem to understand that the reason we have State Boards Of Electrologists is to assure the consumer that their chosen electrologist is a professionally trained, tested, licensed and registered electrologist, which assures the consumer of a safe competent treatment. In addition mandatory state licensing and registration of all electrologists with requisite educational training requirements including a real dual state board examination mandate a complete background check. Most health and helping professions do. Not only are these requirements meant to keep the quacks and incompetents out of a profession but it also means the Certified Professional, electrologist or otherwise, does not have a history that puts the patient at risk. I am not trying to be reactionary but State Boards frequently have to revoke professional licenses in response to inappropriate behaviors to client's persons and pockets. We are talking about maintaining healthy and respectful professional boundaries. Clients are people after all. And based on viewing the promotional video, Mr. Walker's capacity for healthy boundaries and respectful treatment is truly questionable. The sad part is that James Walker VII CPE side-stepped his electrolysis education and is a resident of New York State where he is not required to have any electrolysis education or license, James Walker, VII, CPE is free to fabricate whatever credentials he can conjure and his self-designated quack-certificate to practice will never come up for renewal however his violations of the Fair Trade Act will get him and his accomplices investigated.

 

Chapter Three:

This would-be professional gets under my skin but you shouldn't let him get under yours. Also James Walker the VII CPE makes funs of and bashes electrologists by saying we women spend more money on decoration than than electrolysis our equipment. However I find a well equipped clean professional office in a safe well lit neighborhood is my number number priority in addition to having the best American made State of The Art Computerized R.A. If ethical considerations of human respect are insufficient reasons to turn away from James Walker the VII, CPE  AKA Electrolysis World Champion and  his Hairtell mob of would-be electrologists, if his humor and attitudes are not offensive and you are willing to laugh along even at the cost of $80.00-$100.00 an hour, consider that perhaps the show should not go on if the end results are left on your face for life. No cavalier attitude can make up for an education and the corresponding credentials and making the sacrifice to work your way through school is the "American Way" for those who want  to be the best. For the client credentials are the best assurance that the delicate work of hair removal will yield smooth hair free skin and not the pitting and scarring of incompetent procedure. To all consumers that visit Hairtell.com try checking the credentials of each Hairtell.com Top-Ten Contributors, members and other non-licensed electrologists that have made Hairtell.com their wayward home. For the record Andrea James and James Walker the VII CPE have been salting Hairtell.com for years with phony electrologists and fake consumers with made up dramatic "Queen For A Day Sob Stories." Read between the lines on Hairtell.com and watch how they slip up with other consumers with and their unwanted hair problem using the identical writing styles. Again, it is baffling at how much time and energy has been put towards the disservice of the client.

There seems to be a real ego issue at stake if the end goal of their work is to prevent exposure for fraud. For any practitioner who takes pride in bringing a client a new self-image through smooth healthy skin, it seems the height of unethical behavior to lead a client down the road of pitfalls, figurative and literal. Since Mr. Walker chooses not to avail himself of proper training, he must build his practice off of false testimonials through the employment of individuals who pose as consumers with an unwanted hair problem looking for electrologists on Hairtell.com forum. God help those consumers who register on the forum asking, “Does anyone know a good electrologist in my area? After that James and his fellow vultures swoop in and post lies that say, "I know one…” and then they themselves pose as consumers who have nothing but good to say about well… their own work. It is a funny sort of self-referral. To be balanced, this author will allow that perhaps a self-diagnosis is in order and that this seems like a paranoid assumption to make. Would that it were so but the technology that makes such abuses possible also leaves a lot of traces. So much for self-diagnosis. Back to self-referrals. Unfortunately the scam is perpetually perpetrated by forum members and everyone gets a kickback including the one licensed electrologist on that forum who sold her soul for the buck.

 

How low can one go to fraudulently target a woman with unwanted hair problems in such a devious harmful manner? Consumers would do well to steer clear of Hairtell.com because the quacks run it. Information and questions are critical and necessary when looking into the option of permanent hair removal. If a practitioner claims to be a licensed and registered electrologist, ask her or him in what state she or he is licensed and ask for the State Board telephone phone number so you can confirm the validity of her or his license. A practitioner who is concerned about you as a client will be forthright in sharing this information and will allow you to process the information on your own time. Consumers have the right to make an educated decision about the practitioner whom she or he will trust with their face. A misguided choice could and often does mean a marred complexion for life.

MR WALKER STATES THAT SCABBING IS A NORMAL PART OF ELECTROLYSIS TREATMENT

 

Scabbingis the hallmark signature of the quack electrologist and is sub-standard practically applied electrolysis treatments by uneducated non-licensed electrologist and over a period of time it will cause deep orrifice pitting because the orifice of the follicle is burnt with each treatment. A proper treatment has no eschars also known as scabbing. Scabbing is caused by lack of training, improper electrology procedure and Decrepitation and Eschars are the most horrible thing that can happen to a patient who has an unwanted hair problem requiring electrolysis. An inexperienced uneducated or poorly trained electrologist may tell the patient (after he or she has mishandled the treatment) that, “Decrepitation and Eschars are a just a normal result of the treatment.” Wrong. In addition, this type of scarring, according to dermatologists, is extremely difficult, if not impossible, to remove or correct by plastic surgery.

 

As an author, I must confess that I take my profession seriously and I work hard to maintain the highest standards for myself within my practice. Perhaps I have taken on more of a Board members role by speaking out so adamantly about the exploits of James W. Walker VII, CPE, and the caliber of practitioners that he represents. I cannot concede however that to do so is to be out of place. The integrity of the field of electrolysis is inevitably the outcome of collective effort and voice. If any one of us lets anything besides the well-being of our clients become our primary concern – yes I am saying that monetary compensation is secondary - then we all fail. And if we tolerate glib attitudes about standards, disrespect for individuals based on gender and identity, and essential physical malpractice in the field, then we have all lost the respectability of the field that we each worked so hard to build. Yes. James W. Walker VII, CPE gets under my skin, but I am remiss in my ethical dedication if I let him get under anyone else's.
